about me! ☻

hello!! my name is junie, otherwise known as @duststooooorm :) to get the basics out of the way: i am 21, and i primarily use she/her even though i don’t mind what pronouns are used for me. i am an english major and a creative writing minor. my goal is to become an author (please don’t assume any of this makes me pretentious!! i have never had a fully serious day in my life). my hobbies include writing, reading, acting, playing instruments, and singing. the remainder of my personality is regrettably tied directly to my interests.

𖦹 brideshead revisited is my absolute favorite book ever not for what it is specifically attempting to convey, but for what can be interpreted from it by the reader depending entirely on background and upbringing. even though it is technically supposed to be pro-catholic, reading it from any other perspective creates something unique and different. also lord sebastian flyte is actually my favorite character ever and i have never felt that personal of a connection to a character in my life. love you sebastian <3
𖦹 the picture of dorian gray is one of the first classics i ever fell in love with and i owe my current ventures as an english major to it 100%. oscar wilde is my favorite author and i know more about him than i wish i did, which has in turn caused many people in my life to know those random facts despite knowing little else about him.
𖦹 whose line is it anyway? ohh where do i begin. i am soooo normal about this show i definitely like it the normal amount that people typically like this show… i am lying i am so abnormal about this show. to my knowledge i have seen every possible incarnation of the show that is able to be watched (minus the adaptations from other countries that don’t speak english) including the live show :,) i love all of the performers so very dearly but if i were in a life or death situation and had to pick my favorites, they would be josie lawrence, tony slattery, and jeff davis. also i NEED the improv-a-ganza girlies to step up because that show needs so much more love. in short if you like whose line please be my friend <333
𖦹 donovan is my favorite singer ever!!!! i love him so very much and his music is the reason i am so into 60s music today (besides literally growing up on the beatles from my mom). he is very important to me and i would love more mutuals who are fans of his!!
𖦹 i don’t have much to say about flyte i just want everybody who is reading this to go listen to them NOW!!! they are so fantastic and i saw them live this past april and met them afterwards and they were the kindest people ever. they deserve the world so please help give them it <3
𖦹 the hush sound are legitimately my favorite band of all time. i will never forget being 12 sitting on my grandma’s bed on june 23rd, 2016 and hearing we intertwined for the first time (i’m not THAT insane, i found a post from that day with the date attached). they have stuck with me the entirety of that time leading up to now and i never had the falling out that i had with most other artists i liked in middle school. they are something so very special and stood out in a good way from their musical peers.
𖦹 i know i just did the hush sound by themselves but i’m going to group all the “emo” bands together here. i was very much one of the fob/p!atd/mcr kids in middle school and i did unfortunately let it get bullied out of me. in more recent years as an adult, i’ve been getting back into the swing of things, even going on a journey to listen to as many fueled by ramen/decaydance bands as i can. my perspective has changed a lot nowadays (particularly concerning p!atd as i’m sure you can imagine), but i’m thrilled to have this style of music back in my life.

ʚɞ i am new to tumblr as an active user!! until now, i’ve mostly used an abandoned account to lurk on tags of fandoms i belong to, but i’ve gotten lonely and really wanted to actually create a presence of my own :) that being said, if i do something that doesn’t follow unwritten tumblr etiquette, just know it wasn’t on purpose!!
ʚɞ if you express beliefs on your account that involve any form of hate speech, i will block you. along with the obvious, this includes terfs and exclusionists of any sort. absolutely no negativity is welcome here. we’re just here to hang out.
ʚɞ on a more specific note: i did mention that i like some panic! at the disco albums, but i DO NOT LIKE BRENDON URIE!! if you like him, i highly suggest you don’t follow me because i will not be nice to him.
ʚɞ additionally, i am completely uncomfortable with proshippers following my blog. i am asking you to PLEASE NOT FOLLOW ME if you are a proshipper. this is a hard boundary that i am setting.
